Geeeeeeeklings, how we doing? Did everyone have a good weekend? I certainly hope you did and if you didn’t then good news, I Am Geek is here to usher in a kickass week. We’re in this together. Mondays can be rough but the good news is the New York Football Giants finally remembered how to play football and actually won a game(I refuse to let them sucker me in for any hope), and there are a number of totally awesome things to break down for the week.

I’m currently in the process of learning how to link my Fan Fest author page to I Am Geek so anytime I post there it shows up here. Whoa, double the posts. That’s right my friends. Always looking to expand. And tomorrow (I think) I’ll be making an exciting announcement about that top secret project I’ve been slyly working on. Ooooooh secret announcements.

In the meantime, it’s Monday and you find yourself on I Am Geek which can only mean one thing… it’s Week In Geek time! Let’s do this!

1. Black Panther trailer- Holy sweet freakin’ Christ! Did you guys see this?! I mean, did you guys see this?! I saw that it came out early this morning but was so swamped with work that I didn’t have a chance to check it out until lunch. Oh, the horror! Can you imagine? Having to wait to watch a new Marvel trailer?! If that’s not a definition of what Monday is then I don’t know how else to define it. I don’t think the world is ready for how severely Black Panther is going to melt faces. Seriously, this dude is about to blow up. This trailer flows like liquid (what does that mean?) and just looks like nothing else in the MCU right now. Seriously, February is such a long wait at this point. Marvel, I was just focusing on Thor at this point. Now I’m overwhelmed with awesome.

2. The Walking Dead season 8- Believe it or not but The Walking Dead turns 100 on Sunday. Can you believe it? Looking beyond the fact that a show about zombies has now reached eight seasons but the fact that it’s on the 100th episode seems like something special. While there is a bit of an inconsistency with a number of Walking Dead seasons one can not deny the fact that the show pulls you in and kills on social media. As a fan of the comic there are aspects of the show that are hit and miss with me, but I love tuning in every Sunday to see what kind of mayhem comes next. I’m looking forward to this season tackling the “All Out War” storyline from the comics and hopefully getting, even more, Negan screen time (the real MVP of the show). I don’t know what episode 100 has in store for us but if it’s anything like issue #100 then some crazy shiz is going down. Also, you can find all my episode reviews over at Fan Fest. 3. The Babysitter on Netflix- First let me preface this within no way is The Babysitter going to change the world. It takes a used formula and adds a little spice to it, not much, but enough for it to be ridiculously fun. I knew the movie was coming out but didn’t see any of the trailers, and thought it was going to be a bit more horror but instead found a very charming horror/comedy. The film moves quickly, packs in some gore, and some laughs and leaves you feeling like you didn’t waste 90 minutes of your life. Not a bad deal. Totally worth checking out this Halloween season.

4. Stranger Things trailer- I know I came here Friday to talk about this, but I can’t get over it. We are only eleven (wink wink, nudge nudge) sleeps away from season two. I. Can. Not. Wait. I believe Netflix released a clip today showing how Eleven escapes from the Upside Down but I refuse to watch it. I draw the line at trailers. Clips starting ruining the flow of the show for me. Although, you guys are more than welcome to find it on your own.
