Dear Fellow Geeklings,
This is a true story that I’m going to share with you. Last night after work I came home and watched the remaining four episodes of Parks and Rec. I was filled with a number of different emotions as it became very clear to me very quickly that I was going to miss these characters so very much. I’m still mad at myself for waiting this long to watch the series. Although on the other hand I loved every second of my massive binge watch. I don’t think it would’ve mattered when or how I watched the show as saying good-bye was kind of difficult.
Today I awoke knowing that I would sit down in front of my lap top at some point and write a heartfelt piece about the show. First I needed to do some things though. I bought a whole bunch of cleaning supplies, and two new Pop Vinyls I might add (Black Panther and a Game Stop exclusive Captain America from Civil War. Yeah I’m pretty pleased.) and spent a large part of my day cleaning my apartment. For serious. Soup to nuts (can anyone tell me what that saying means?). Place looks great for those who are interested.
Once I was done cleaning I took a shower and sat down for a late lunch while I watched the end of Winter Solider. God that movie is so freakin’ good. Once I saw the first end credit scene something happened to my eyes. They got heavy. And I found myself starting to doze a little which makes sense because I didn’t sleep great last night. I woke up around 1:47 (more like I woke up at 1:47) and couldn’t fall back asleep until some time after three. I spent that time reading my book until my eyes were ready to give up for the day. Needless to say I was up around 8:30 today and cleaned like a man possessed, so it made sense I was a little tired.
So I did what most people would do in that situation. I decided to take a nap. I set my alarm for 3:36 and laid down in my bed. The only problem was that I didn’t change the am to pm and woke up around 4:30ish (wow there are a lot of times in this post suddenly). As I’m sitting here writing this letter to you, I’m still shaking off the fuzzies from my nap. I know, I know first world problems but it gets worse. Since I over slept I don’t have the proper amount of time to dedicate to my Parks and Rec piece because I have to go to work soon (where I’m probably going to be paid to watching 10 Cloverfield Lane.). It’s also a bummer because I wanted to put Ant-Man on while I typed it out.
I’m disappointed that I’m unable to talk about my friends from Pawnee in full today, but maybe I need another day to digest the series. Find the right words to express my love for it. Or maybe I just really needed that nap. It was pretty solid.
As far as posts go this is it for today; an apology letter about the post I wanted to write. I expect tomorrow to be a day dedicated to the celebration to that little town in Indiana but until then I’ll leave you with this because it is random and it makes me laugh.
