Well she had so much fun last week that Jen wanted to come back and do another post this week. Who knows maybe this will end up being a weekly thing for her. I’m off for the night I’ll leave you with Jen and her Tuesday Thoughts…
Hello fellow I Am Geek friends! Well I’m back and I am very excited. Welcome to Jen’s Tuesday Thoughts (that title is a work in progress). This weeks post is inspired by my lack of motivation today. Today I started my last semester of earning my Bachelors degree (Wooohoooo!!!!) But before I could get to school I wanted to clean my house first because I find it hard to concentrate when it is messy. Anyone else feel that way?? Anyways, I put my music on and couldn’t help but want to just dance around while I cleaned, which is exactly what I did.
That brings me to today’s topic. Music. I like pretty much like all music and I frequently switch songs (drives my husband crazy! Sorry babe) Music, much like books I feel mean something different to everyone. For me I enjoy listening to my music through headphones. Music through my headphones becomes more personal and I feel like the music is just mine for a little bit. I think that its my moment of no judgement and the music just fills my body with electricity. I feel that way when I listen to music any time but the most when I have my headphones on. I cant help but want to dance. Its like it takes over my body. Kind of crazy and some may even say so is my dancing.
Today, as I said, I just had no motivation. I was working on cleaning up the house and I had found myself dancing and then singing to the songs on Pandora. I shook it off to T. Swizzle, rapped to “Brass Monkey” by the Beastie Boys, and danced the heck out of “Cant Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake (I am in love with that song). All I wanted to do was dance and feel free today. Which is exactly what I did. Sometimes you just need to let go and feel it. So don’t be shy, embrace it.
I know this isn’t much of a post but it was how I was feeling today. I will leave you with this: Feel the music and let it consume you. Don’t feel funny or weird if you start dancing, embrace the awesomeness that these artists are giving to you.
Have a great week awesome nerds ! Till next time-
Always felt that way!!
“Oh what a feeling”
