It’s been awhile since we’ve had one of these, and they really come in handy when I have a number of different topics I want to talk about, but don’t have tons of things to say about them. So I say to myself, “Self, why not cram them all into one piece” and that’s what I’m going to do. Prepare for the awesome as serve you up a nice strong Geek Bits stew-

• I literally just read that Brie Larson is currently in early talks to play Captain Marvel, and I have to say my heart is filled with geek glee (#geekglee let’s get it trending). I’ve been a fan of hers ever since Scott Pilgrim and then there was the adorable stint on Community. The casting right now is just a rumor but it’s enough to get me talking, and I have this website so talking is what I’ll do. I think Larson would be a perfect fit within the MCU and would love to see her interact with the Guardians of the Galaxy. I know I’m getting ahead of myself here but make this happen Marvel. Please. #geekglee
• Funko announced today their entire Suicide Squad  Pop Vinyl line up, and the Pops were not disappointing. As a matter of fact I’ve already ordered my Hot Topic exclusive Joker and Halrey Quinn. I’m fully aware that my Pop Vinyl addiction is becoming a problem but I love them too much to stop at this point. Plus the word exclusive was attached to them and that makes me want to buy them even more. Oh god, I’m starting to feel like one of those 60 year old women who were collecting beenie babies. I’m not like that, am I? Pop Vinyls are way cooler though. Someone make me feel better about this!
• Comics, comics, and more comics. Today is a fantastic comic book day that sees new issues of Civil War II, Batman, Spider-Man, and a massive crossover staring Deadpool, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist. I’m just going to spend the rest of the night reading until my eyes fall out.
• Have you guys heard the new Game of Thrones theory where they believe that Bran is the one who drove the Mad King… mad? I’m not sure how I feel about it. Seems sort of repetitive but could be interesting, but I’d rather they didn’t. I would like Jon Snow to go on a retribution tour of the North and kill anyone who has ever wronged a Stark though.That would please me.

Actually I think these are the only things I wanted to talk about. Hmmmm not much of a Geek Bits. If this was a stew I would be disappointed. But I thought this was all stuff you guys needed to know.

I’m taking tomorrow off from writing but I’ll be back on Friday with something new for your peepers. I still haven’t seen X-Men: Apocalypse and think that has Sunday written all over it.
