Geeklings, I only have a few minutes to pop in for a quick hello. I guess that raises the question, what constitutes as a quick hello when it comes to writing? Is there a certain amount of words I can’t exceed in order for this to be “quick”? If so, what is that amount of words? Am I just wasting words right now thus ruining my ability to give you a proper quick hello? This whole thing is perplexing. I guess what I’m trying to say is that today’s post will not be very long as I have to actually go and study for a test. A test? Yes, I have to take a test for work tomorrow morning (womp womp) and I needs to study some. But not before I popped on in for a… “quick hello” (feels like I’m beating a dead horse now).
Now what do we discuss? I could go into the fact that me and the adorable creature were watching season two of Master of None last night, and stopped at the last episode. As in we watched the episode before the finale, which was all types of effin’ brilliant/incredible/beautiful/feels related/auh-mazing, and then just stopped. I couldn’t argue with her either because she’s adorable and she was right. Doesn’t mean I didn’t try and twist her arm but she stood firm. It was probably for the best as I still had to watch Better Call Saul so I could write my Fan Fest review today, and it was already getting late. I mean, I would have done them both (that’s what she said) but I would be paying for it a bit today. It’s killing me though because I need to know what happens, but also have that terrible anxiety where I don’t want to watch it. Once it’s over that’s it. No more Master of None and who knows when (and if) we’ll get a season three. I recently listened to The Bill Simmons Podcast and Aziz Ansari was the guest, and it was such a fantastic episode; gives a deeper appreciation for the show, the process of creating it, and Aziz as a writer/creator. Yet no where in that interview did he confirm a season three, and by the sound of things, he doesn’t have the stories lined up yet any way. Not to say it won’t happen but it’s not on the map just yet.
I will hopefully have a Master of None season two review/reaction piece up later this week, that I’m hoping to share with Fan Fest as well. This most likely won’t happen until the weekend because I’m not seeing the adorable creature until then. Ugh, that bites. I’m talking more along the lines that I don’t get to see her until the weekend, but yes it also bites that we can’t finish the show until then. I’m not going on ahead of her because as I said on one of the episodes of the I Am Geek Podcast, the deepest rings of hell are saved for binge watching cheaters. In the mean time I keep previewing the soundtrack on itunes and I think I’m just going to pull the trigger on it. The music is all very chill and kind of relaxing. This is no Matrix “Calm Like A Bomb” stuff.
What else do I have to report? Hmmm, that new poster for Game of Thrones is all types of sick with the eye of the Night King set firmly on Jon Snow. I don’t know Geeklings, with the teaser images from yesterday and the release of the poster today (which I also inquired about yesterday), one has to believe that there’s a pretty good chance that we’ll get a trailer this week. Maybe. Hopefully. Please. Just give us something other than power walking set to good music.
Sadly Geeklings, that’s where I’m going to wrap it for today. Don’t worry, I’ll be back tomorrow hopefully with more substance too. In the mean time I’ve got to study for a bit before the season finale of The Flash comes on. Be sure to pay attention to our Faceyspace page as I think there’s a good chance that my sister and I could go live after the episode. It won’t be until after ten though. We shall see. Until then, many huzzahs!
