Video Games or Comics- AKA Tonight’s Woes

Geeklings, how we doing today? It’s the day after the 4th of July and everybody should be back at work unless you took a vacation in which case bite me. There was just something about the 4th falling on a Tuesday that kind of threw things off for me. I would have preferred having off Monday and Tuesday but sadly the real world disagreed. Something about having a job and needing to be responsible and such. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But all and all today wasn’t bad. I felt rested, happy, with a tinge of sunburn across my shoulders. What could be better? Probably not having sunburn but I digress. Plus, my vacation is a week and a half away so things are looking up.

I’m going to keep tonight’s post a little short and sweet as I turn to you Geeklings for advice. You see I’m trying to figure out what to do with my night and I’ve only got half of it figured out. As you know I work two jobs and usually get home around 9:15ish or so which gives me about two and a half hours to myself before I go to sleep and start the whole thing over. Time is a flat circle. Tonight I won’t have the adorable creature around (#frownface) so I’m on my own which means I have to figure out what to do with my time. I already know that I plan on reading for a good portion of it. Maybe an hours worth. I’m so close to finishing my book, City of Mirrors which is the conclusion of the Passage trilogy, and I’d really like to wrap that up before next week. That’s the easy part. It’s my other choices that are causing me problems.

I have it narrowed down to two things. I could eat dinosaur chicken nugs and play video games, as Gotham still needs saving and I haven’t played games in almost two weeks, ooooorrrrr I could read comics since it is New Comic Book Day while eating dinosaur chicken nugs. Life is full of tough choices my friends.

I’m leaning towards some gamage mostly because I plan on reading for the second half of the night. I don’t want to wear out my eyes with the comics and make no progress on my novel. Hell, I’m almost tempted to spend the entire night reading my book and ignoring everything else… Wait a second. What’s preventing me from doing that? I could totally just put some instrumental music on, probably a Game of Thrones soundtrack, and just sit on my chair with Hudson the Cat, eat dinosaur chicken nugs, and read my book until it’s time to throw The Winter Solider and fall asleep. Thanks, Geeklings! This was really helpful.

Huzzah!
