Hey there Geeklings, did you miss me? Of course, you did! Good news though, I missed you too. I have to admit, it was a bit strange not writing a Week In Geek column on Monday. Almost felt unnatural in a lot of ways, but I think we all survived. Let’s not make a habit of it.

I’m sure some of you were left wondering just where your fearless leader was and the answer to that my friends was on vacation. The Adorable Creature and I stole a few days away in the sun and it was glorious. My head is a little clearer, my belly a bit heavier, my liver a bit rocked, and my heart all types of happy. Sometimes you just need those breaks to kind of rejuvenate the mind and body.  But I’m back now and it’s time to get back on track with everything.

I Am Geek has been seeing an increase in readership over the last couple of weeks (we say thank you big big) and I think parts of that have to deal with Infinity War while other parts have to do with the fact that you love it here and are clearly telling all your friends. Right? I knew it. While today won’t be a post filled with new content, it’s just one of those posts that assures you that I’m alive and new content is coming. What new content you may ask? Well, I guess I can hype some upcoming pieces.

We still have the post-Infinity War Power Rankings to look forward to. I’d also like to do a column called “In Defense of Peter Quill”. On top of that there are plenty of trailers to break down and discuss, and some other things I’ve got brewing which is my way of hinting at stuff I may not have a clear idea on yet. It’s late and I’ve been writing all night. You’re not going to get my best.

Mostly I just wanted to pop in and say hi to all my Geeklings. I’ve missed you and I’m ready to get back to work for the rest of the week. See you all tomorrow!
