HBO Max Is Here

As if there weren’t enough streaming options already, HBO Max has arrived today throwing its name in the ring of streaming services you should probably subscribe too. I know at this point you probably have subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Shudder, Apple+, Amazon Prime, and any other obscure but slightly necessary streaming network giving you the ability to watch everything. We live in a world where cable is slowly fading out and streaming services are not so slowly jumping in. If you’re looking to watch allllllll the content and have anxiety about missing out on something awesome, then suddenly these streaming networks are taking their toll on your wallet. But, if you’ve got it narrowed down to a select full then you should be doing alright.

I was skeptical about HBO Max to be honest. As someone who has HBO Now to watch Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, Westworld, Game of Thrones, and a bunch of other things, I wasn’t sure if it was needed. I’m still not sure if it is. I really haven’t received a clear answer on the difference of HBO Max and HBO Now other than they’re separate but might be the same thing and HBO Now will slowly be phased out. And while the release of Max is exciting it has been kind of confusing. Look at all the people who stayed up last night looking to download an app that never showed. I think there could have been a better presentation or access provided but in the long run, we’re signing up for HBO Max because of the content, and boy does this streaming service have some content.

If you’re looking for reasons to subscribe, or not to subscribe, to the new streaming service, I thought I provide you a list of shows and movies that are available right now for your viewing pleasure. And let me tell you Geeklings, it’s a pretty extensive list.
