Week In Geek- Netflix Binges, Predator Returns, & A Day For Batman

Geeklings, how are we doing on this fine, fall weathered Monday? The temperature has dropped quite a bit and while I’m not ready to ditch the shorts (I have a strict no jeans till October policy) I am excited for the season of excellent sleeping weather. You know the kind where you can keep your windows open and bundle up with a blanket all snug like. Oooooooh yeah, that’s the stuff.

Speaking of weather, I hear that there’s a hurricane approaching (stand back!) and things are certainly looking like it will be making some landfall on the east coast. For all my Geeklings living in the Carolinas please be safe and take care of yourselves. I’m not entirely sure when they think the storm is going to hit but I know they’ve already started evacuations. Be safe and be sure to stock up on reading material and download movies and tv shows to your tablets and phones so when the power goes out you don’t go insane.

All weather aside though, it is Monday which means we’ve got a brand new Week In Geek to get to. Let’s do the thing!

Netflix Binge Fest- This week not one but two shows will be dropping on the Netflix streaming service and I’m already trying to figure out which one I’m going to watch first. As you recall in last week’s Week In Geek I mentioned both BoJack Horseman and American Vandal had seasons dropping this Friday and now this Friday is only a few days away. BoJack Horseman is already getting rave reviews from critics (duh) which is just getting even more excited for this upcoming season. I haven’t read much on the second season of American Vandal yet but listen, I’m not looking for them to reinvent the wheel here. I’ll take my thought provoking/emotional television with the talking horse and I’ll let the humans entertain me with poo jokes. Sounds like a fair counterbalance.

New BoJack Horseman, American Vandal, Predator, and I still need to cut loose in the Spider-Man game… there just aren’t enough hours in the day Geeklings. My personal time issues aside, the film is being hailed as the best since the original (am I the only one who liked Predators?) and an excellent cast has me pretty pumped for this. Who knows, maybe Arnold will show up? I’d fanboy pretty hard over that.

Image result for batman day 20183. Batman Day- September is a pretty awesome month and not just because it houses my birthday (subtle birthday plug), but because DC Comics uses it as the month to celebrate Batman. That’s right, Batman Day is September 15th (always rotating) as we can celebrate/show our appreciation for the Caped Crusader. In honor of this years Batman Day be sure to tune in to I Am Geek on Saturday as I list some of my favorite Batman stories to help you celebrate the day in style.

AHS4. American Horror Story: Apocalypse- It has been a long time since I watched a season of American Horror Story in full. I was not a fan of Freak Show and still have one episode left to watch to complete that season but feel zero need to. I was sort of into last years season, Cult, and watched maybe two or three episodes but never went back to it. Although I would because I found that one interesting. With this upcoming season though combining two of my favorite stories, Murder House and Covenant, my urge to tune in is a bit higher. I love that the casts from both shows will be returning and I’m genuinely curious to see how these two shows are going to connect. Here’s hoping this is what AHS needs to get back on track.

There you have it Geeklings, all the best of this upcoming week. What are you looking forward to the most? Sound off in the comments or you can find me on Twitter @iamgeek32 if you want to just chat it out. I’ll be back tomorrow with brand new content for your eyeholes. Be excited!
