Nicholas Cage Levels of Fried Brain & March 31st

Here’s the thing, I have no idea what to write about today. Zero clue. I’m like any employee at the Daily Planet who looks at Clark Kent when he takes his glasses off to clean and can’t recognize the fact that he’s clearly Superman. I know what I’m writing tomorrow though. In fact, I have not one but two columns planned for tomorrow. Today though… today I’ve got nothing. And why … Continue reading Nicholas Cage Levels of Fried Brain & March 31st

Week In Geek- Community to Netflix, Onward to Disney+, & Wrestlemania

Geeklings, welcome to the dramatic return of the Week In Geek. I know as of late that this column has kind of been shelved in order to give you some more editorial like things to read but I think we’ve hit the point of social distancing when everyone is starting to get a tad bit stir crazy. Who can blame you either? It’s been two weeks … Continue reading Week In Geek- Community to Netflix, Onward to Disney+, & Wrestlemania

Playing Video Games As An Adult & A Possible Gaming Sin

As a thirty-eight-year-old, playing video games has become a bit of a luxury. There just isn’t enough time in the day for yours truly. From working a nine to five, reading comics/books, watching shows/movies, maintaining a social life, writing here on the site… time just moves more rapidly than I’d like. I don’t know how many of you have read Matt Fraction’s Sex Criminals but … Continue reading Playing Video Games As An Adult & A Possible Gaming Sin

Week In Geek- Locke & Key Coming Soon, Morbius Trailer Is “Okay”, & Boring Oscars

It was at 8:45 this morning when I discovered that I was over this Monday. I’m not usually like that either. Monday tends not to bother me. I’m not Garfield. Sure, waking up early, saying goodbye to the weekend, and going to work kind of bites but it’s not soul-crushing for me. By no means is this me bragging. If you guys hate Mondays, I … Continue reading Week In Geek- Locke & Key Coming Soon, Morbius Trailer Is “Okay”, & Boring Oscars

Week In Geek- 007 Trailer Trailer, Crisis Comes to the CW, & the Doctor’s Arrival Date

Geeklings, what is going on?! Hopefully, this Monday finds you indoors and warm as the first real snowy mix is heading my way here on the east coast. That gets a resounding “yuck” from yours truly. I hate snow. I hate it so much. Don’t give me any of that “but it looks so pretty” because that lasts like three seconds before all the muck. Plus, it means it’s cold out and winter is here (no longer coming) and winter is just this loooong, dark, vortex holding us hostage until the sun re-emerges with warmth and spring. But I don’t want to talk about snow. I’m like Anakin Skywalker with sand when it comes to snow. I hate it.

All Hail Our New Adorable Overlords, The Quokka

I learned about a new animal today. You would think as a thirty-seven-year-old adult that my new animal discovery days would be over. I mean, what else is there to discover? Maybe some kind of fun sub-species of a cat or bear but at this point in the game, I think I’ve seen it all. Or so I thought. Like most mornings, I woke up … Continue reading All Hail Our New Adorable Overlords, The Quokka

I Am Geek & The Column That Could Have Been

A good portion of my day is comprised of trying to figure out what I want to write for the day. Some days are easier than others. Those are the days where trailers drop, there are big topics to discuss, or something really sticks in my mind. One of those things where if I don’t talk about this I might just pass out. These topics … Continue reading I Am Geek & The Column That Could Have Been

Pull List- A New Day For Mutants, The Return of the White Knight, & Jane Foster

Geeklings, a very Happy New Comic Book Day to you all! Welcome to the Pull List where it’s all things comics all the time but especially on Wednesday. Or as I call it, the greatest day of the week. I hope this particular Wednesday finds you all in good spirits, one day closer to the weekend, and ready to get your read on. Because let me tell … Continue reading Pull List- A New Day For Mutants, The Return of the White Knight, & Jane Foster

Would You Show Your Cat the Cats Trailer?

Cats have very poor representation when it comes to film. All animal movies seem to be about dogs. All Dogs Go To Heaven. Marley and Me. Lady and the Tramp. 101 Dalmations. Wizard of Oz. When it comes to animal movies it’s a doggy dog world (I know the saying is dog-eat-dog world but my saying fit my narrative better. Don’t at me.). Even the few cat … Continue reading Would You Show Your Cat the Cats Trailer?

Week In Geek- Ant-Man Returns, Batman Gets Married, & You Better Call Saul

Geeklings, how’s it going? If you’re currently living on the east coast then I assume that it’s going hot. In no way is that a true complaint considering that only a couple of weeks ago it was cold and rainy, I’m not one of those people who looks a gift horse in the mouth. Part of my love for the summer is the heat, minus … Continue reading Week In Geek- Ant-Man Returns, Batman Gets Married, & You Better Call Saul
